Local Guides for Bad Salzdetfurth and Elm-Lappwald region

The free local guide apps provided by Footmap which are already popular among tourists, hikers and bikers on Android have now been released for iOS as well. As a partner of Footmap we supported this development and celebrate the first days of the apps on iOS.

The apps are part of a city marketing concept which includes printed maps, web content and smartphone apps, all matched seamlessly and featuring professionally prepared tours for cyclists and hikers as well as selected points of interest on the map. Right in time for the outdoor season, the first apps support everyone with the discovery of the regions of Elm-Lappwald and Bad Salzdetfurth.

The apps are based OpenStreetMap which allows to show all the details that are relevant for tourist information and outdoor activities and to use the maps in all formats without restrictive license terms. Our partner Footmap can prepare maps and flexibly add tailored content. More cities are soon going to follow this concept.
